This work is a variety of grasshopper shaped fabrications created with materials for bags, and those are all luxury clothing brands in the world.
The title, “BATTA mon” consists of two different meaning of Japanese words, “insect” and the slang for “imitation”.
However, I don’t make it public whether these grasshoppers were sewn with original patterns of materials.

In 2010, regrettably, these works were removed by the complaint from LOUIS VUITTON company during the exhibition in Kobe Fashion Muse-um.
In 2011, they exhibited a leather grasshopper as an objet d'art created by UK based designer. In a sense, that is true “BATTA mon”.
